Finance section headed by Finance and Accounts Officer controls the fund utilization sanctioned by state Government and Central Government Funding Agencies. The finance section prepares annual budgets of the university and controls financial expenditure on various activities. It keeps track of investments of the University through a Register of Investments and keeps a constants watch over the progress of expenditure as an important step towards financial and budgetary control. The Accounts Section also caries out the work of the Internal Auditing of the University. It is the authority for stock taking and stock checking and carries out spot audit of accounts and stock registers maintained by the University Sections and Campus Schools. The purchases of the University in excess of Rs. 0.10 million are channelised through a purchase committee. The financial affairs are monitored by a Finance Committee.
